Iron Transfers!

These are just a few pictures messing about with iron transfers, I pulled out some of my daughters old clothes and tested how they turned out on different fabrics, I like them but the colour doesn't always come out great depending on the fabric, I think this is something I would want to explore further but maybe try it with screen printing.

 

And this is just because I was feeling Christmassy :) 

Playing around!!

 

I have just been playing around placing my drawings onto different surfaces, I like how they look but particularly like how my notepad designs look. I am going to try messing around with some iron transfer paper I bought and see what they come out like on fabric.

More Ideas !!

 These are a couple more designs I made up, after the first set of designs I did I felt they were fighting with the collaged background, I have made watercolour backgrounds for these instead and think the flatter background works much better, I have created these to maybe see what they look like as notepad designs..

Final Ideas

 

These are my final ideas! I used Photoshop to overlap my images, I did a few tests with changing the colour of the silhouettes but I personally think they look better black! I think if I could go back and change anything I would want to spend more time creating my final designs ! I love them and think they work well, I would just like to spend as much time on the final bits as I spend on my drawings!

Collage

 

These are what I am planning to use as a background to my images, I created these by making collages out of ripped bits of paper I got from magazines, photocopied and coloured paper that i bought! I made them in a3 size then used the photocopier to blow up certain bits of the collage and these are the outcomes I also played with making them all one colour and inverting the colours.

I really enjoyed doing this, I think my problem is I don't just mess about when I am creating things, so doing these collages was nice not knowing what I am going to end up with!

Refined Drawings!

These are the final drawings I have chosen to use! I am really happy with the outcome of both. I think from last year my drawing is a big improvement!
