Lino Prints

These are prints i transferred to lino from my line drawings, i think they really work well tho i may re-do the left one and maybe make the line thicker as I plan to do reduction prints and use two colours !!

Im not sure if i want to use these two prints, I cant decide if they work as well as the first two..

Screen Print Idea

In the story of the six legged antelope there is the character of a hunter, i didnt want to be as obvious as a man firing an arrow so i decided to just have the design of an arrow and have it as a repeated pattern for the background of the wallpaper! My plan is too use a soft colour pallet, to go along with the theme of it being set in heaven !

Antelope Line Drawings

I tried drawing my antelope using simple line drawing using ink and a pipette, I thought they worked really well and went a bit ink drawing mad !! :)

Narrative Surface

For my narrative surface project iv decided to do a wallpaper design based on the 6 legged antelope story from The Book Of Imaginary Beings by Jorge Luis Borges.
I have decided to use a combination of screen printing and lino printing to create my wallpaper!
I started to draw ideas for the antelope character but i dont think these drawings are working at all !!
 here they are anyway !

Jill Calder

I have only recently been introduced to the work of Jill Calder and i love it !! I really like the use of line and shape in her work and the vibrant use of colour, I think her work has a really playful  feel to it!!

Simon Pemberton

I love the work of Simon Pemberton he is a mixed media artist and uses a variety of media such as mark making and drawing, then brings all the elements together digitally, I love his use of colour and always find myself drawing inspiration from his work for my projects.

Louise Body

I think the work of Louise Body is brilliant, she screen prints illustrations of flora fauna to create unique wallpaper. She uses a soft colour pallet which i think gives a vintage feel to her work. I love the delicate detail in her designs and particularly like her bird wallpapers
